2016 is here... how quickly did that come around?
Here is 5 small ways to change your 2016 for the better..

1. DRINK MORE WATER

This is the easiest change there is to feeling and looking healthier this 2016, but I bet 90% of you reading this know you don't drink enough! (I am part of that 90%). We should be getting 2-3 pints of water per day, and that is JUST water, not mixed with squash or in your coffee. If, like me, you are now trying to shed those few extra pounds you put on over Christmas, try and drink water as cold as possible. Your body actually uses energy bringing the water up to body temperature, but any water will aid weight loss!

2. SET AN ALARM

I am the opposite of a morning person, don't get me wrong, but getting yourself up at a reasonable time each morning will likely improve your mood for the rest of the day. Even if you have no reason to, once up and about you'll definitely feel more pro-active! Sleeping in really late can also mess up your sleeping pattern badly (talking from experience), so when you have to wake up it's almost impossible! Obviously a lie-in here and there is one of life's true joys, but maybe getting yourself up in the mornings will improve your 2016 motivation, and give you more time to get things done.

3. THINK POSITIVE

There are two ways to look at most situations in life, positively or negatively. Making a conscious effort to look at things life throws at you in a positive way will have an overall effect on your mood and outlook. This is not always as easy as it seems, but the more you change your thought processes the more it will become part of you! Try this: write down three things each day that have made you smile.

4. DECLUTTER

Sometimes when I'm feeling stressed out or overwhelmed by life, the best thing I can do is tidy my bedroom. I know it sounds silly, but even sorting out a wardrobe/drawer can make you feel a little bit more together. Make it your aim to de-clutter this January, and then keep on top of the clutter throughout 2016. Whether its a whole house or just a small bedroom, I promise it will make you feel better!

5. WATCH THIS

I have never felt as inspired as when I listened to this for the first time. Aim to live by these words daily and 2016 will be the best year for you so far!

What other ways are you changing your 2016 for the better? Let me know in the comments
